When we sign-on to our WebFocus server we enter a id, password, and domain name. This is a domain within our network. The WebFocus software was installed under this domain. I've been notified that we need to starting signing-on under a different domain name. Does anyone know if we start using this different doamin if it is going to effect the WebFocus software at all ?

In the 5.3.x version of WebFOCUS Server you can explicitly set the security domain in the server administraiton console. It's a bit harder to do in earlier versions but you still can do it by editing ODIN.CFG and/or EDASERVE.CFG depending on how that server is being accessed (e.g., from a hub server or directly).

I'm assuming you're talking about the WebFOCUS server itself and not the client.

If you're talking about WebFOCUS client security then I'd assume you're using MR Exit based security for example, you'd need to change the file that performs the query against your activedirectory. For more information on this please consult your handy dandy WebFOCUS Security and Administration Guide.
