Hi

We are getting FOC36223 error saying

(FOC36223) FILENAME html_test SPECIFIED BY -HTMLFORM COULD NOT BE FOUND

Both the calling fex and the html file are in same folder in a domain. I tried using the tool directly but still get the same error for both of these.

-HTMLFORM html_test.htm OR
-HTMLFORM app/html_test.htm

What could be the issue?

thank you

BI_Developer,
I believe the filename has to be ALL UPPERCASE like:
-HTMLFORM HTML_TEST.HTM
when refering to an external page from a procedure.

Sounds like your HTML form is in MRE.

If it is, then when the FEX is running, it does not have access to it, as its not in the APP directories of the WebFOCUS server.

BI_Developer, welcome to WF 7.7.03 and to one of the annoying glitches I faced upon upgrading Frowner

-HTMLFORM in the MRE is now limited to .htm files whose name has no more than 8 characters (just like in the good old times of WF 4.x).

I think this is fixed in a hotfix yet to be released, but what our local IBI SE advised us to do was:
-HTMLFORM BEGIN
-INCLUDE app/html_test.htm
-HTMLFORM END

That worked like a charm though required changes to quite a few lines of code across our Domains.

Hope this helps!

DD, were you having the same problem in 7.7.01?

We had built our forms/reports in 7.7.02M and "long names" were supported; it stopped working in 7.7.03 but I did not know that behaviour was there before ... weird Roll Eyes

No, in 7.7.01 long html form names are supported.
It is the bug in 7.7.03 which we are trying to migrate by this month end.
