Hello all,
Is there a way to tranfer the reports which got expired in the Report Library? The scenario is:
We have set the expiration mode to 31 versions in the report library. Now when the report caster purges expired reports, we want it to be moved to a specific folder or location.
The idea is to have backup of the reports for a significantly long time (in years) and have the latest versions available in Report Library.

Is it possible this way? Or is there an alternative way to achieve this?

Thanks,
Shyam L

By alternative I meant any setting that can be done at Report Caster/Library level to achieve the same.

It won't work the way you are intending. Once a report falls off the list, it's gone. There is no additional processing that will be performed.

Alternatives -
You could write your own procedures to update the ReportCaster tables which would mean accessing and updating them directly - definitely possible and not uncommon but be careful you don't mess up something else. You need a pretty good understanding of the layout and content of the RC tables.
You could also run duplicates of the files and have them stored both in the "recent" folder and in an "archive" folder.

Darin

I think duplicating the report generation process, to have reports stored in multiple folders, would be the safe way to go about it.
Thanks Darin for the suggestions.
