Hi,
Does anyone know how to make 'Report Caster' appear in the right-click pop-up menu of MR Domain Builder for a specific procedure in WF 7.1.x?
This functionality exists in 5.1 and the users like it because they can go directly to a tree-list of scheduled jobs for just the procedure they are looking at and then run, modify, or delete the job without having to go through all scheduled jobs for all procedures.
I've turned on all MR user privileges and now 'Schedule' shows up in the pop-up menu but that is for a new schedule, only.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Greg

Hi Greg,

Here is suggestion from our internal resources:

To Schedule Directly from Managed Reporting

In the event that you wish to use only one tool (Managed Reporting, in this case) within WebFOCUS, yet still be able to schedule your reports the following is required:

1. Log on to the Administration Console

2. Select Utilities

3. Select MR Tool Type Selection

4. Select Administrator

5. Select ReportCaster User Interface

6. Select the radio button for 'HTML' (as opposed to JWS - Java Web Start).

7. Click Save.

This requires that you have a running version of Distribution Server, for the change to take affect.

8. Repeat these steps for Developer Studio.

Use of the Schedule Wizard has to be enabled for any but Analytical users by default. Also, the 'Notify Mailhost' must be the same value as 'mailhost'

9. Restart the Distribution Server, the Web Server, and the Application Server.

If you then log into Managed Reporting, right-click on a Standard Report, the option 'Schedule' should be displayed.

This solution is applicable in 53x and 71x versions of the product.
This will allow you to schedule reports, but not to change their format, their distribution method, or to create a distribution list.

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
