[CASE-OPENED] Migration of Collaborate Portals
I'll keep you posted on this...

Is there something special about Migrating Collaborate Portals?

I have a domain in which I built a Collaborate Portal. Everything is self contained within that domain and the associated App Folder. I managed to get the Domain and sub-folders over as well as the app folder, albeit one piece at a time. The main Domain (DougLee) has three sub-folders, (Dougs Portal Resources: Do not show on user's list) with three sub-folders (Page 1-3), Portal Pages (contains the folders for the code in each of the three pages of the portal), three sub-folders (Page 1-3 which contains the code for the associated tab of the portal), Reporting Objects (Not migrating at the moment), and the portal (Dougs Portal).

The Domain Structure
Development

     Dougs Portal Resources
        Page 1
        Page 2
        Page 3
     Portal Tabs
        Tab 1
        Tab 2
        Tab 3
     Reporting Objects
     Dougs Portal

Thanks for any input, Doug

Hi Doug,

When I migrated collaborate portal from WF8201 To 8202 I just took the CM package from 8201 and imported in 8202.

8.2.0.1M , 8.2.0.2 (App-Studio8.2.x),

Output format:-AHTML, PDF, Excel, HTML

That's what I did... But, the portal didn't come thru. I did another CM Package wit just the portal and resources folder that didn't work either. The portal resides in the domain.

I get the popup alert: "Action failed in adapter" as the result of importing the CM zip.

I don't use collaborative portals but is this what you need? In my portals I dynamically change the widget titles.

$("#windowPanel1 div:eq(1)").html("Dynamic Title");
$("#windowPanel1 div:eq(1)").css("background-color", "blue");

Thanks Les, That seems to fit with my My "Format Widget Titles?" post. I'll check it out when I'm done with this post (Issue) Smiler Doug

I opened case 71, yesterday, on this.

No one has ever seen the popup alert: "Action failed in adapter" before. We're looking into that as well.

I'll keep you posted.
