Where do you find the practice files (EMPDATA, TRAINING, CAR, etc,) that come with FOCUS for VMS?

John,

Boy, it has been a long time since I did FOCUS for VMS. Is there a FOCUS_DEMO directory at your installation? Can you do a search for car.mas or cartest.fex? If you can find those, the other masters should be in the same place. If the files are empty, there should be a loadxxxx.fex that you can use to populate the demo files.

Hope this helps.

The file to search for is LOADPERS.FEX. It will load all the empdata and related files. Check in the ibi$focus directory.

If IBISAMP is in the APPS folder then add it into the APP PATH in edasprof

or

add APP PREPENDPATH / APPENDPATH IBISAMP to the start of your focexec

You can then run any required load procedures or get at the files which is already loaded
