Hi Waz,

In Technical site for Version 8.1.05 it mentioned as below

On Microsoft Windows, the DB2 environment is set up during the installation of DB2.
The adapter supports Unicode data in DB2 version 8 or higher databases created with the option CODESET UTF-8. You must add DB2CODEPAGE=1208 to the Windows environment either by:
Setting the environment variable in Windows.
Setting the environment variable in the edaenv.cfg file.

We have webFOCUS installed in Windows server and currently using DB2 9.7 Adapter that is configured as below. For this the Environment setting are as below, but do not see DB2CODEPAGE set.

***********************************************

Must be defined before the server starts

Hi Rajna

I see DB2 Version 11 cli as an option with the WebFOCUS 8.2.01 Reporting Server. I do not see it in Version 8.1.05M

Hi Chuck,

Is it documented anywhere as WF8.1.05 does not support DB211 . When you mentioned as 8.2.01 version supports it Is it visible on any config window / Is it documented in Technical site. Where can I see it in Reporting Server Console>Adaptor?

Thanks,
Rajna

How about opening a Tech Support case or calling your local IBI office?

"Is it documented anywhere as WF8.1.05 does not support DB211 . When you mentioned as 8.2.01 version supports it Is it visible on any config window / Is it documented in Technical site."

These appear to be questions best answered by yourself or Information Builders.

Meanwhile...

WF 8.1.05M Reporting Server > Adapters > Available > SQL > Oracle

I see 12c, 11g, Instant Client 11, and 10g.

Oh, by the way, the word is "compatibility".

Rajna

I finally found this links I was looking for. This one is for Release 7.7.06 and 8.2.01 (They are the same release under the covers
https://techsupport.informatio...fg_adp_7706_DB2.html

This one is for 8.1.05 https://techsupport.informatio...ws_x86_64_64bit.html

8.1.05 does not support DB2 11 client. That said the WebFOCUS software relies on using the DB2 client (DB2 Connect) you should check with IBM to see if an olde,r client can connect OK to a DB2 11 database.
