I tried sending around 5,600 emails that contain an attachment from ReportCaster and it failed to send with the following error in the log. "The distribution failed: Can't send command to SMTP host". The average size of each email is around 40kb.
Is there a designated limit and what is that limit?
Can I change the limit? If so, where do I find it?

Is this 5600 different email address for a single RC schedule distribution list ?
Not 100% sure but if I remember well there was a bug in 8105 and RC regarding a limitation in number of address for a single distribution The work around was to create multiple distribution list for the schedule instead of using only one. I also think that there was a fix for that
But, 5600 entries it's a lot. So, it's possible that no matter what, you had make the limit exploded

Thanks for the response Martin. Yes, 5600 different email addresses with an inline report for the email body and an excel attachment burst to the appropriate recipient. Right now the distribution list is a dynamic list using a fex for the destination and burst value. Does your comment around limitation in number of addresses and version 8105 still apply even if the schedule is using a dynamic distribution list?
My workaround was to tweak the fex to pull a range of the records and then run the schedule, repeating as much as needed. I broke them down into batches of about 950 addresses.
