In previous versions of WF when working in the portal you could show one value in the filter drop-down and return a corresponding value to you procedure.

For example:

You have a list of key value pairs say zip code and city name. You use the city name to populate the drop down and the zip code would be the return value.

Can this be done in designer.

I think you are referring to using App Studio to create an HTML composer page where you can specify a display value and a value from value. You can still do that and put that html form into a designer page. There is currently no way to modify the filter within designer to specify two fields to use in the filter.

You can code the variable to accomplish this. For example, &PCD.(FIND PCD,PRODUCT IN ggsales). The following fex when dropped into the Designer page will create a dropdown that displays the PRODUCT field, but will pass the PCD field to the fex for the user's selection:
-DEFAULT &PCD = '_FOC_NULL';
-SET &ALLPCD  = IF &PCD EQ '_FOC_NULL' THEN 1 ELSE 0;

 SET PAGE=NOLEAD,STYLE=warm
