I am trying to figure out what I need to change on this reference to the hyperlink object targetname. We are currently upgrading from 7.6.4 to 7.7.03.

var xnode = document.getElementById("ibi_requests").getElementsByTagName("requests")[0].getElementsByTagName("request")[0].attributes.getNamedItem("targetname");

This code worked in 7.6.4 but doesn't work in 7.7.03. Can anyone give me a suggestion to get it to work in 7.7.03?

Is this custom code ?

There is every chance that IBI has changed things from one release to another.

Yes I believe it is custom code. I did not create this, but I was able to find something in the forum on it so I am betting that the person that created it for our company got it from the forum. He was our administrator and a good one but he left last year, so now I am tasked with trying to get this to work in 7.7.03.

Can you alert an innerHTML at each level to see if the hierarchy of the object model is still the same as it was? That may show you what's changed.

Worked with IBI and we were able to get the issue solved with the following code:

var requestNode = getSingleNode(myXmlRoot, pattern);
if(requestNode && submit_var == 'Defer')
{
requestNode.setAttribute("targetname", '_blank');
requestNode.setAttribute("targettype", 'defer');
}
else
{
requestNode.setAttribute("targetname", '_blank');
requestNode.setAttribute("targettype", 'iframe1');
}
}

Of course now the business is considering removing this feature. Ugh!
