Users ask for the darndest things.

In 7.7.0.5 under EXL2K is it possible to output data content with decimal points but display them in the spreadsheet without the decimals?

I know how to make this happen in Excel, but not while creating it in WF.

My quick search turned up nothing.

Hi Kevin,

The simple answer is no, because you want decimals in your data, the format of the field is set within the data being passed to MS Excel. The display format that you want is determined by MS Excel.

If you use that knowledge then you will realise that you would have to change the display format within MS Excel. You could do this manually or use a macro enabled workbook to achieve this on workbook opening.

Thanks Tony. That is what I told the users was a likely answer, as I set their expectations. Just doing my due diligence here. Smiler

FORMAT EXL2K FORMULA might help you, since Excel will perform the calculation but WF will control the format.

Yeah, I think I won't go to that format now. Thanks for the suggestion though.
