Hi

I have a customer that uses a fairly old version of WebFOCUS (4.3.5). I have tried to install the development tool (Desktop) on a Windows XP (32bit), but everytime I start it I get a message that says: "Sorry registry security violated!". I have know I idea why I get this message. Anyone that can help?

Note that it is not really an option to upgrade to a newer version, as the customer has huge amounts of existing webfocus application where we don't know if they will work with a new version.

Yours
/peter

Do you have admin access?
Perhaps it needs to run/installed as a 16 bit application? (Not sure about this one)

Hi Peter,

Please try the following:

1. Ensure that WebFOCUS Desktop is not running.
2. Locate the IBIZAP.REG file. If it's not in the Desktop directory structure, it is on the installation CD.
3. Right click on the file and select MERGE

You should then get a message that the registry has been updated.

Cheers!

Kathryn
