Hello Focus friends also DB2 specialists,
From Data to Information, and From Information to Intelligence need that we are able to get the Data first.
My point is that I know how to Select Data from Production Data Bases (For Fetch only, as Focus does) but I am not good enough as to be sure that I am harmless. I mean that when I RUN PROGRAM(DSNTIACL) PLAN(DSNTIAUL) PARM('SQL'),
perhaps I lock things and that it can bother a Production Process (as making Image Copy, for instance)
How to be as transparent as possible with IBM-DB2 utilitarians
Thanks for help

Please refer to the Data Administration manual for your platform and look up DB2. There are settings in there that you can put in the global profile (edasprof.prf) where your adapter is defined. There are settings for isolation level which should help you set your lock settings.

The best you can do is specify an isolation level of UR. However you should aware that you will be reading uncomitted data. The only thing, I can think of that it interferes with is the load utility.
