I am moving from Webfocus 5.3.3 to Webrfocus Windows 7.6

Is there a way to export the Unix MRE reports and import them into Windows MRE?

Run the migrate extract on the Unix platform. Ftp the file to the Windows platform and then do the import. This multi-platform scenario is documented in the installation guide.

When I run the Load utility on the windows server I get the following:

C:\ibi\WebFOCUS76\utilities>.\reg620
|WA|76|76|X|X|
|IN|WebFOCUS|X|X|

C:\ibi\WebFOCUS76\utilities>set CLASSPATH=.\mrmigrate.jar;;

C:\ibi\WebFOCUS76\utilities>java -cp ".\mrmigrate.jar;;" mainMigrate

Then it seems to freeze. Possible cause and solution?

If you follow the instructions in the installation manual section called "Migrating Across Different Machines", they tell you to copy the migrate.jar and migrate files from the 7.6 release to the old platform, do the extract, ftp in binary mode to the 7.6 platform, then do the extract step.

Now I am confused. It states in the manual that

"Note: To migrate across platforms (for example, from UNIX to Windows), you must extract
using the mrmigrate utility for the source platform and load using the utility for the target
platform."

Doesn't this mean that I am not transferring those files. When I try to run the transferred files I get the following errors.

./mrmigrate.bat: .reg620^M: not found.
./mrmigrate.bat[2]: %CLASSPATH%: not found.
./mrmigrate.bat[2]: ^M: not found.
The java class is not found: mainMigrate
./mrmigrate.bat[4]: pause^M: not found.

You may have to ask IBI to get you the migrate utility for WF 7.6. Why don't you open a case on this?

According to IBI I needed to move the files manually. I copied the basedir, worp and ibi_html over to the windows machine under a WebFOCUS53 directory then used the Windows extraction and load on it.

Seems to work like a charm.
