If I set up a Caster report as a burst report, and in the Caster schedule I have the following list:

Burst Value Email
A Email1@comp.com
B Email2@comp.com
C Email3@comp.com

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What happens to any report lines that are NOT A,B, or C, e.g. we have a Burst value of D or X or Q? Do they just not get reported, or is there a way to send all others to a default email address?
Thanks,
Carl
The email will be burst only to the matching burst value (email IDs).
Try creating dynamic burst by having the burst value and corresponding email list in the table.
Create a define field for the first BY field as
FLD1/A2 = IF FLD EQ A THEN A ELSE IF FLD EQ B THEN B
ELSE IF FLD EQ C THEN C ELSE X;
Burst Value Email
A Email1@comp.com
B Email2@comp.com
C Email3@comp.com
X Emailx@comp.com
Try this out... Smiler
I was trying to get away from that, because sometimes the values are blank, and those need to go to someone else.
thanks for the suggestion.
"...because sometimes the values are blank, and those need to go to someone else."
That is the beauty of using a Dynamic Distribution List. It is dynamic and changes everytime the job runs. Just because the burst value is blank is not a problem.
