If someone has time, could you please test the following and let me know if you get an error message or not. I am receiving and error message from the following request. However, I have not seen anything in the documentation that says I cannot do the following.

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
BY MODEL
BY BODYTYPE
BY HIGHEST 1 SALES
BY HIGHEST 1 DCOST
END

Thanks Jim for testing this and confirming the issue. If you would be so kind as to remove the BY BODYTYPE and rerun it for an additional test that would be great. I expect it to work with only 3 BYs and the 2 BY HIGHEST N statements.

The issue seems to be the combination of 4 BYs and 2 BY HIGHEST N statements.

Thanks!

Mickey

Jim,

Thanks again for testing and confirming.

I am pursuing this with IBI and have a case open with them.

Thanks!

Mickey,

I know this post is sort of old, but have you gotten a resolution for this case yet? I found the known problem on the tech support site: http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com/known_problems/23482535.html.

Thanks,
Josh

I tested this on v5.3.4 and the problem is there.

So from v5.3.4 to v7.6.9 - a long road to travel.
