Hello,
i am building a report based on a across statement. Depending on a list-box in my html form the numbers of acroos columns varies. in the list-bos are 18 values, so there are 1-18 acroos columns possibel. on the accross columns i have a drilddown, at the moment i have 18 pieces of the following code.

TYPE=DATA,
COLUMN=N&coloum_1,
DRILLMENUITEM='Details',
FOCEXEC=app/ek_basis_pers_details( \
LN=VP_NAME \
),
target=_blank,

i would like to make the code smarter with a loop.

Christian

That would be something like this:
-SET &COLNR=1;
-LOOPSTART

TYPE=DATA,
COLUMN=N&COLNR,
DRILLMENUITEM='Details',
FOCEXEC=app/ek_basis_pers_details( \
LN=VP_NAME \
),
target=_blank,

-SET &COLNR = &COLNR +1;
-IF &COLNR LT 18 THEN GOTO LOOPSTART;

Since you're using ACROSS, you're probably also interested in: http://forums.informationbuild...597008895#1597008895

I ended up adding both the field alias and the column description to a hold-file, including that in my GRAPHs and subsequently loop over the values in that file to create drilldowns. It gets a little complicated that way, but it works.
