Hello FocalPoint Community,

I'm creating a responsive design dashboard with a filter panel.
My filter panel has the following dynamic parameters:

  • Quarter
  • Year
  • Region
  • Store

Users will first select a quarter of a fiscal year.
My fiscal year stars July 1 of the previous calendar year. So, for example, the first two quarters of FY2018 were in calendar year 2017.
I want my users to select the quarter first, say quarter 1, quarter 2, etc.
The second parameter (that of year) should display the appropriate calendar years. So, calendar year 2018 should never display in the dropdown box.
Currently, I do this in a nonresponsive design by a separate fex and then tie the fex to the html page. Should I follow the same approach with the filter panel, or is there a better way?

Can't see why you should do it differently
A responsive design is just something that adjust its size/position according to available space on screen : phone, tablet, pc-monitor
And a filter panel may also be used in a non-responsive page. So, I don't see why it should be different

I agree with MartinY...
1) What is the difference that you're seeing?
2) You say "calendar year 2018 should never display in the dropdown box."
Would the be true if the user selects Q1 as well? Wouldn't Q2-Q4 of 2018 be displayed?
Or, would only the quarters for the current year be displayed?
