Hello, I'm using App Studio 8204. I have 4 reports (.fex) files that I now need to combine into a single document. I hear that creating a compound document is probably the thing I need in order to do this.
Each report has its own page, however, some of those reports can have a details section that runs 7 pages.
This is all PDF format.
Each report has its own query, but share a common SQL parameter ...where sales_id = '&Sales_ID' Obviously, I want the user to enter the parameter once and have each report print out (sub reports) within a single document.
I see a compound document button under the report tab, but have not tried to use it.
Need an example of how to wire this up if possible in a compound doc. Any help/suggestions appreciated.
Thanks! This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
Once you've created the document, you can click the Report, drag the mouse over the page to create a container for the first fex. Then right click the center of that container and use Reference Existing Report. Your first report will show up in that container. Then repeat 3 more times referencing the other 3 fex's.

Hi BabakNYC, sorry for the delay in my response. My Dev environment blew up so I have not tried it just yet, but will post a followup as soon as I can. Thanks for the info. Seems pretty straight forward.
