Hi,
In a line graph, I have no data for a particular value
E.g in a graph, say production across years.
There is no data for a particular year.
So currently there is a gap in the line graph due to this.

Ideally, there should be a connection between the previous and the next data values.
As per the requirement, it can be an interpolated line.

So I have used the following :
SET VZERO=OFF
....
....
....
ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE *
setFillMissingData(2);
.....

However whenever the missing data condition arises, it displays some junk data.
Please suggest how this can be resolved.

Thanks.

Please update your signature so we know what version you use.
Did you download the wfgraph pdf from the IBI website?
Did you try to find it here on focalpoint? the answer is there.

Hi Frank,
I tried defining a field and setting MISSING ON.

However, I defined the field as alpha:

DEFINE FILE PROD
PROD_DT/A24 MISSING ON = IF PROD_DATE NE '' THEN PROD_DATE ELSE MISSING;
END

The field that is to be displayed on the vertical axis is a date (PROD_DATE).
So if I consider it in date format itself, I get an error saying "computational fields cannot be compared with alpha fields".
Hence I tried retrieving the date in character format. Now the comparison is not a problem, but it doesn't graph since the value to be displayed on vertical axis in non-numeric.

Is there any way in which I can define a field that can hold date but not in alpha format.
Please suggest how this can be resolved.

Thanks.

What are you trying to display in your graph?
Post the total script please.

In the across field I expect the datevalue and in the display field I would expect a number or amount. And that field can be missing!
