There is a code page mismatch between the Reporting Server EDASERVE and the JAVA Client. Connection can not be established until the server or the client code page is reconfigured so that they are related to each other.

This is probably due to the fact that you are not in a pure US environment. You have to match code pages on the WF client and the WF server.

Access the client with http://server/ibi_html/wfconsole.htm. Click Configuration, NLS settings.

Access the server with http://server:8121/ibi_admin/cgiatt.exe?IBIS_product=EDA+. Click Workspace, Configuration, NLS.

Code pages must be compatible.

You'd also want to check the properties.jsp output

http://server/ibi_apps/properties.jsp

to ensure that your app server would understand the codepage as well.
