<kvn>Borders in Excel
Is it possible to show borders in an Excel format?

Steve CNo, I don't believe that you can do that with focus.

mgrackinI believe you can get borders to appear in a spreadsheet if you utilize the CSS feature in WebFOCUS. I haven't tried this myself but I believe it will respect the border settings with ON TABEL PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K or one of the Excel HOLD formats. Do a little testing.

mgrackinDid a little testing myself and found that the ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL97 will show borders in the results. I'm surprised this didn't work with EXL2K. In my previous post I was trying to remember the SET HTMLCSS = ON command. Borders will still show without the SET HTMLCSS command but will not respect the BORDER settings in the StyleSheet.
See the following. Used WF 5.2.5 on Win 2000.
SET HTMLCSS = ON
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM RCOST DCOST
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
BY MODEL
ON TABLE SET BYDISPLAY ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, SIZE=8, $
TYPE=DATA, BORDER=HEAVY, BORDER-STYLE=DASHED,$
TYPE=TITLE, BACKCOLOR=NAVY, COLOR=YELLOW, STYLE=BOLD,$
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL97
END
