Hi,

I need to call a Web Service which returns a list of departments to be loaded in my filter page's drop down.

Can someone share some code of how to make a call to web services from within a fex file.

Regards,
CD

I believe what you want to do is 'consume a web service'. Don't know much about it, but a search using 'consuming web service' came up with some entries on the forum. You may need the applicable license to do what you want to do.

Leah, is right. You need the WebFOCUS Web Services Adapter this will allow you to consume a web service just as if it was another data source. Then you could use it to populate your drop-down.
