I have a data file in .csv that I want to upload to use as metadata. I am able to add the file, and it says it was save. Problem is, I don't know WHERE it was saved. Can't seem to find it!!! I seleted an application from the dropdown (don't see all of them, just a couple from studio) but it is not there!!! Where o where could it be????

Are you using the 'Upload Data File' option of the Master Files virtual folder in the folder where you want the file to go? Plus if I'm not mistaken, it asks you what application directory you want the file to go it. It also creates a master for you.

However, if the file contains metadata, you might just want to do a copy/paste operation.
