Hi,everybody
I am a newer about WebFOCUS.this time, I use the develop studio to develop a HTML file that have chinese Character。when I save the HTML file and reopen the file. and I find the file changed. the chinese character is to be '????'.
how can i resolve this problem。

and another one is I use the ibidemo ,open the file 'ibidemo_gmap_wfforgooglemaps.htm' then save it and reopen it,the file changed.

how can i resolve this problem。

I'd recommend that you open a case with IBI and do some reading on NLS. You can also do a search on this forum for NLS.

In dev studio 7.1.6 there was the option to store data as ANSI within the options. This disappears by 7.6.10 Frowner

With a fex the same thing happens with the british pound symbol £ so I tend to use an amper variable set to HEXBYT(156,'A1'). If you have that problem with focexecs then you could try the same thing with your Chinese character, however, for HTML you might need to locate HTML substitutions such as you would with & for the ampersand symbol.

thank you for your reply
and i only install WebFOCUS develop studio 7.6.10 on windows 2003 server platform,
I confirmed the administrating console,the NLS setting IBIWF_language is 'CHINESE -SIMPLFIED',
I also confirmed the web console then NLS setting : CODE_PAGE 946 -Simplified Chinese
LANG S-CHINESE*

but the develop studio change my html page yet.
