I am trying to format my output as a plain ascii txt file and having some issues. I am essentially creating a pipe delimeted text file for an interface upload.
I have tried format alpha, but that ignored my header line and I need a report header. I tried several others and the WP came closest, but it adds two extra spaces at the beginning of each line. Also, I cannot seem to get rid of the "page breaks" so I have blank lines printing after 55 lines or so. I am using:

ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOPAGE
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE SAVE FILENAME 'MEDVENTIVE/RESULT_FILE.TXT' FORMAT WP NOCC

I would be very appreciative of suggestions! Thanks!

Try format DOC, though you may not be able to get rid of the two leading spaces on each line.

"SET LINES = 999999" should eliminate the "blank lines printing after 55 lines".

Thanks for the suggestions.
The SET LINES worked well, but I could not get rid of the leading spaces and as it turns out, there were trailing spaces at the end of each line that were causing problems as well. I tried a strong concat like LINE || '', but it looks like it was just caused by the field length.

In the end, I used SSED to replace all spaces in the file. It'll be clunky, but it'll work for what I need.

New Features for 7.6.9 supports HOLD FORMAT DFIX DELIMITER char

Just tested in 7.6.6 and it works, but does not store a header record.
