Hello,
with the help of the forum i could connect a .csv file to a master file. i used the DFIX Method because
i have large textfields with commas inside. Now i have a problem with Decimal values. When I use
D20.2 in the master file or D18.2 or whatever DXX.2 i see only .00 in the output.

Christian

As this is a csv file, I assume that the file is readable, that is the value for the the D20.2 is something like 1233456.78.

In which case use an ACTUAL of A20 with the USAGE of D20.2.

Or ....
The data is in the file as 20,44 - thus needing CDN to be on to be able to read it correctly.
Try it and see if it helps.

Could also be that it is the other way around. That you have CDN set to ON by default and that it needs CDN to be OFF for this file. Anyway, the easiest way to check what's in the file is to edit the master file and change the ....

HOLD IT

Just checked your master. The ACTUAL format should be A20! USAGE is OK.
