Using stylesheet syntax like

TYPE=DATA,BORDER=LIGHT,$

We frequently find that the bottom of a boz is missing.

Does anyone know the reason/ a workaround/ whether it's fixed in a later release than ours (762)?

All answers gratefully received!

Would the bottom of the box happen to go past the printable area or the specified margins of the page? If you move the box up (or the margins down) a bit is it still missing?

Same problem if you use
SET PRINTPLUS=ON
SET PAGE-NUM=NOLEAD

??

Can't tell exactly what you're seeing without an example.

Appears to work in 7.6.5. I assume the problem occurs in PDF reports. Perhaps it's caused by something else in the style sheet.

TABLE FILE GGSALES

SUM DOLLARS
BY PRODUCT
BY REGION
BY CITY

ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET STYLESHEET *
FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8, $
TYPE=DATA,BORDER=LIGHT, $
ENDSTYLE

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
END

I've seen the same issue with PDF, in 7.6.6, but only on wrapping a column, seems to lose track of things once a column has wrapped to another line, but only at the bottom of the page.

This happened to my report when I give a blank line after the sorted field value changed.

Hua's right

I will experiment further with Waz's idea but lunch is finished now.

I did investigate settings of BOTTOMGAP and TOPGAP and they have no bearing on the issue.

Thanks to all!

The issue is the SKIP-LINE. That is what is throwing it out.

subfoot, subhead do not.

If you look at Francis´ example which works he has no skip-line.

However if you use GRID=ON instead of BORDER=LIGHT that works.

I did not have skip line but had this problem. I found if I had multiple lines in my subhead with each line having different formating (first line was the only line to have the box around it), my bottom border would not appear.

To fix, I faked out the report by creating a dummy sort field in my define that was equal to my original sort field. Then I had both fields in my by statements and then separated out the subhead and put the first line with the borders in the first sort and put all other lines in the other sort subhead. This fixed my issue.

Just thought I would put another suggestion to help others if they run across this issue.
