Hi,

I am not much into admin roles.

The client that I am working is using WebFOCUS765. I came to know that their license is single user access, but the client wants the DevStudio to be installed on 4 systems so that 4 developers can work on it. The problem i am facing is that because of the single user license, i don't see any MR options in Devstudio to create user accounts and each time we run the reports it is asking for the credentials to enter and we are using the same login details for all the 4 developers.

Could Some one has any suggestions.

I think you'll not find much help here trying to do something that violates license agreements regardless of whether it's your own company or a client company.

I agree with the boys. None of us will ever recommend something to you that will violate license agreements.

If you are developing in Data Servers, i.e. self-service applications, and NOT MRE, here is something that you could do. You could have 3 developers write code on the reporter server using a text editor then test it via a browser URL. Have the 4th guy with the DS license do all the styling with the GUI after the reports are tested or have him generate sample stylesheets that the other guys and gals could copy into their programs.

If you are in MRE, you are screwed.

Rao D - My strong recommendation to you is re-read your licensing agreement. What you are asking help on sure sounds like a violation of TOS. The individuals on this forum who are out to assist will NOT assist in such matters.
Good luck.

'a single user license' for what, exactly? for DevStu? or for MRE?
If you have MRE, i had thought MRE was sold in 50-user chunks, so if you have it at all, you have 50 userid's available.
You don't absolutely need DevStu to write code. You can write it in MRE in the domain builder section, either in the DataServers section (aka 'the back end, or d:\ibi\apps) , or in an MRE Domain. Just set up 4 user ids with admin rights in MRE, and then download the manuals...oh yeah, then READ the manuals... You won't be in violation of anything, you'll be fine. Do that, while you're inquring about getting more devstu's.

wait..something doesn't add up.
getting prompted for credentials when you each run fexes doesn't have anything to do with devstu..it has to do with the way you have the security set up on your server. Your real server, not your devstu localhost server.
You do have a real full-fledged server765 install somewhere, yes?
