This is a frist for me but I am going to try it anyway, you have to get your feet wet somehow.

We currently do not have Reprotcaster installed in WebFocus. We have a user that wants to use WebFocus send reports to EPrint.

I would like to know if it is possible with WebFocus and what the coding could be.

What is EPrint?

I searched on Google and got almost 6 milion hits.

The first was an alternative for PDF, if it is that, then IMO it's not an alternative for RC.

RC can schedule reports and burst them to several e-mails. It will of course be possible to build this functionality with an other tool, but how???

EPrint is something like ReportCaster that was user for distribution for all our reports including Focus on our old system. We have since moved to a web system with WebFocus and the processing is a little different between this and the old batch mode.

I feel your pain. My company didn't want to spend the money on ReportCaster, so my coworker and I developed a way to automate jobs and deliver them via email.

Toni,

EPRINT is an awesome tool which distibutes reports based on organization code, user id, fund, account, and other security measures, etc.

It is used extensivelly across the Univeristy of North Carolina Alliance. If you can figure it out, contact Bob Zinn at The Univeristy of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is an excellent resource.
