Is there a way to export or output a report in txt or csv rather than Excel. I often have more than a million rows. I use infoassist GUI.

Thanks

Format COM, COMT, TAB, TABT, etc

I would suggest checking the manual for output formats

In InfoAssist, once you've created the report, in the left most group of buttons right below Chart and Report icons, click File. You'll then be prompted to save the output of your report in a specific format and you can also pick the location and filename.

Your choice of output is Binary, Comma with Titles (CSV), Plain Text, Tab Delimited, Tab Delimited with Titles and a whole bunch of other formats like XML and json.

Isn't "FORMAT DOC" still available?

How about "FORMAT ALPHA" or "FORMAT PRN"?

I didn’t see it in InfoAssist, but the code is certainly there.

Infoassist is not designed to do this, but you can write to a file on the reporting server, I suggest TAB since this takes variable fields into account. You can then make a procedure to zip the file before downlading it from the server.
