I can get to my report thru the internet by using a url like below:

https://webfocus.mysite.net/ibi_apps/WFServlet?IBIAPP_a...folder&IBIF_ex=myfex

What is the best way to not allow this to be publicly available thru the internet and only make it available to certain users? Those users would be people that have logged into a website already.

Thanks!
Erica

Erica,

There are many posts on this topic on the forum. Why don't you do a search first, with keywords such as security or logon, etc. and see what you get. If none of these previous posts helps you, then we can delve into it further. It is a very complex issue.

There is also a WebFOCUS security manual which you can download from the doc library (link in upper righthand corner of this page).

Ginny is correct Security is a very touchy subject. and keep in mind that any help you get here is just suggestions on how to do some thing. If you really want to get support/help on security I would suggest getting it directly from IBI in the form of a security assessment.

just for thoughts

Thanks. I have done searches, but I either didn't understand the answers or couldn't find what I was looking for. Either way, I'll try searching again and looking for manuals.
