Hello everyone,

I am very new to WebFOCUS (coding in general) and was wondering if anyone had experienced the hour glass showing as the cursor constantly when mouse is over the dashboard.

Does this happen with a specific dashboard or every dashboard you create behaves like this? If you provide more details about this dashboard it'll help figure out what's going on. How many rows does the code access when you run the dashboard? What kind of data are you reading? Does the hour glass go away if you add a READLIMIT EQ 100?

Hello BabakNYC,

It happens on all dashboards. Looks like 36 lines of code. We are reading DB2 tables. No, the hour glass is present before the report in ran. It appears when you choose a report (any and all), and before hitting run.

I hope I have answered your questions correctly, I am sorry, I do not have any more experience than I do.

Thank you for your reply!

Try creating a similar dashboard using a sample table in IBISAMP app folder. This helps eliminate DB2 data access. Once you create this example, you could share it with everybody here so we can look at it and give you suggestions.

A stab in the dark here... we have seen issues in Internet Explorer where it will not display the HTML pages in our dashboards until we add our website to the Tools -> Compatibility View Settings. You should be able to select the option to "add this site".

That's a good point. I also wonder if other browsers show the same hour glass. Have you tried Chrome or Firefox?

My default browser is Chrome. I am still working on trying to create the a test dashboard using the IBISAMP table. I did not setup the dashboards, so I am unsure where to even begin.

Hello Tomsweb,

I see your Test 123.

UPDATE: I just opened the dashboard in IE (11) and the hour glass is not as the cursor constantly. The cursor does however change to the hour glass when hovering over a check box, which is weird, so it may just be something with the browser that is causing the different cursor behavior.
