Hi Focals,
i am looking for a simple way to check if a date field is filled by using a combo box with two possibilities. One is take all with 'FOC_NONE', the other is choose only entries where the field is filled with a date in format YYMD. I tried to check for $$$$/$$/$$, but that did not work.

Greetings

Christian

If this is being checked in the fex, which is executed on the "button", then you may consider some dialogue manager checking of the variable. something like this:
IF &MyVaraiable CONTAINS '/' THEN DoThis ELSE DoThat ;
or
IF EDIT(&MyVaraiable,'$$$$9") EQ '/' THEN DoThis ELSE DoThat ;
