Hi,

I am working on Magnify and i created an indexing procedure which has multiple values for a BY FIELD.
So i learned that i can use aggregate search in Magnify.

I tried to use mentioned in the manual as below ,but of no use.
https://infocenter.information...source%2Ftopic14.htm

Here is what i did.

TABLE FILE DEMOFILE

---
COMPUTE XFIELD = IF XFIELD1 EQ 'THIS' THEN XFIELD2 ELSE XFIELD3;
-*This XFIELD has multiple values for X_ID and i want to make this an aggregate field.

XFIELD AS 'M3A_XFIELD'
XFIELD AS 'SA_XFIELD'
---
BY X_ID
END

I made XFIELD as Multiple category as mentioend in the manual and then made it search aggregate.

Still after indexing, when i search i get only one value in the search result.

I couldn't find any other resource regarding this other than the above link.

Any help is highly appreciated.

It looks like you're using the same field twice, AS different names.
Shouldn't
"XFIELD AS 'M3A_XFIELD'
 XFIELD AS 'SA_XFIELD'"
be:
"XFIELD AS 'M3A_XFIELD'
 YFIELD AS 'SA_XFIELD'" ?

Or, alternatively:
---
BY XFIELD AS 'M3A_XFIELD'
BY YFIELD AS 'SA_XFIELD'
---
