I added the following as a comment in another thread but I think it deserves its own.

How does one make a DS HTML Composer designed HTML page responsive for MobileFaves use? By default, each element in a DS HTML Composer designed HTML page is absolutely positioned, how can this be displayed properly in MobileFaves when the HTML page is designed for a PC screen larger than 1024x768?

Francis,

I attended an IB workshop last February for mobile devices. The stuff we displayed and used on iOS devices had been designed for the size and resolution of an iPhone or iPad. For example, the launch page we opened was sized for the iPhone using the Century Sales stuff. It was implied that CSS3 would be used to query the media being used and then style the input and output pages accordingly. We did not use the Composter (still cracks me up...) but if you did then you would design your page elements based on the target device.

Norb,

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting that you attended an IB workshop and they did not use HTML Composer!

Now that the new iPad is out, with double the screen resolution, what do we do?

Cheers,

Francis

Francis,

We didn't use HTML Composter ( LOL I know - I'm juvenile) because we weren't there to design pages. The workshop provided a hands-on with the IB iOS app MobileFavs, and we accessed MRE based Mobile Favorites on your own iOS devices with a discussion on mobile strategies and best practices.

Regarding the hi-res iPad? I've got enough to think about with the iPhone and iPad2. I'll worry about the new iPad later. Wink

Have a great day,

Norb
