I have scenario to load more than 300 dynamic columns in SUBHEAD using EXL2K.
Now it is not showing more than 121 columns! is there any limitation in 8105? Are we have solution on this.
Please share...
Sample:
TABLE FILE CAR
BY CAR
ON CAR SUBHEAD
"Mine<+0>PMT<+0>Schedule <+0> Priority <+0>Parti<+0>Part<+0>*** Plt<+0>Com<+0> Site<+0>Code<+0>Sup<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>FeRa<+0>FeAs<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>FeRa<+0>FeAs<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>DR<+0>Gre<+0>Cda<+0>Mil<+0>Help Needed<+0>Deliverable Conformance Plan<+0>"

There used to be 6500 character Limit in Subheads and Subfoots. Not sure what it is in version 8.

Dev
Using less than 6500 Character
Right now it will allow 126 Columns (in excel)

My guess is that you need to break the HEADING text into multiple lines:
TABLE FILE CAR
BY CAR
ON CAR SUBHEAD
"Mine<+0>PMT<+0>Schedule <+0> Priority <+0>Parti<+0>Part<+0>*** Plt<+0>Com<+0>Site<0X

I found this on the Tech Site
Problem: Is there a limit to the number of bytes that can be placed in a HEADING, FOOTING, SUBHEAD or SUBFOOT?
Solution: The maximum for heading/footing/etc is 32K bytes. This is true for WebFOCUS 7.1x and 7.6x and for Mainframe FOCUS 7.6x. incorrect. The number of characters actually obtained is also dependent on the amount of memory the c program can get when the procedure is run, so the limit of 32K may not be available when the procedure is run.
A single line in the heading can have a maximum of 410 characters.

Does it run correctly when you run a non-Excel format? Have you tried newer Excel output types?

Dev, The example provided by Francis produced an Excel report for me in WebFOCUS 8105 in both formats XLSX and EXL2K
Office 2013 was used. What MS Office are you running?
Here are the limitations found in the WebFOCUS 8105 Reporting Language documentation: EXCEL: FORMAT XLSX Description: Generates fully styled reports in Excel 2007 XML format. You must have Excel 2007 or higher installed to use this output format. An Excel 2007 worksheet can contain 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns. WebFOCUS will generate worksheets larger than these defined limits, but Excel 2007 will have difficulty opening the resulting workbook, and the data that exceeds the Excel 2007 limits will be truncated.
FORMAT EXL2K Description: Generates fully styled reports in Excel 2000 HTML format. You must have Excel 2000 installed to use this output format. ACROSS column titles are supported for EXL2K output format. For EXL2K output format, a report can include 65,536 rows and/or 256 columns. Rows and columns in excess of these limits are truncated from the worksheet when opened in Excel.
For information about creating overflow worksheets for the additional rows when the number of rows becomes too high for a single worksheet, see Overcoming the Excel 2003 65K Row Limit Using Overflow Worksheets on page 672.
