Has anyone upgraded to Windows 10 yet? Any issue with App Studio? This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,
Windows, All Outputs
Yes, and no issue running App Studio 8.1.04 apart from flakey IE11 or Chrome wanting half a dozen or more processes running - but then that hasn't changed from Windows 7 has it!
However, check out the Compatibility Support Notices on the techsupport site - you will need to sign in to view content.
There was a post from the Product Manager a week or two ago, and he said that App Studio will work on Win 10.
Any word on the older Dev Studios? I have clients still on 7.
By the way, if anyone can come up with a good search phrase for the techsupport page to see the apocryphal Compatibility Support Notices for Windows I'd very much appreciate a copy. Putting "Windows 10" in the search field returns nothing. This message has been edited. Last edited by: John_Edwards,
Thank you Kathryn.
For those not inclined to click --
The following issues have been identified.
HTML Composer is not functional.
Francis, do you care to comment?
The issue with 'HTML Composer is not functional' will be corrected in release 8.1.05.
I could not get to this link.
Support Statement for WebFOCUS, App Studio, Developer Studio and Windows 10
Oops, its now working.
I tried the link and got:
"The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
WebFOCUS 7.7.05 Windows, Linux, DB2, IBM Lotus Notes, Firebird, Lotus Symphony/OpenOffice. Outputs PDF, Excel 2007 (for OpenOffice integration), WP
I'll tell you what -- if the old Version 7.x Dev Studios only have trouble with the HTML Composer that's pretty doggone good. That's the kind of thing you can work with, and they're XP-era tools.
The link that Waz mentions is also not working for me. I'll follow up on that and report back.
Thanks and regards,
Waz's link was missing the /tech/wbf/ part.
8.2.02M (production), 8.2.02M (test), Windows 10, all outputs.
The current link of https://techsupport.informatio...wbf/wbf_tmo_028.html is the correct one to use. We're not certain where you obtained the other link, Waz, but please update your bookmark.
