Hello webFocus friends,

I have looked for the car.mas, car.foc, and the Cartest file in IBISAMP and BASEAPP and I cannot find them.

Does anyone know if IBI may have decided to put them in another domain?

Thank you

From the Server, look in ibisamp and run loadcar. It'll populate the car file.

Alternatively, if you go to the Reporting Server Console > Applications > Tutorials, you can click Create Legacy Sample Tables and Files.

WF_RETAIL is also created using Tutorial.

Requires the Change Man Package to install the data, right? Where does that reside?

Tom, Can you see it as the result of doing a "WHENCE CAR MASTER" and "WHENCE CAR FOCUS"?

If it doesn't show up as being found, then, perhaps, it's not in you APP PATH. If that's the case, do a "APP PREPENDPATH IBISAMP", at the top of your fex followed by the WHENCE's , followed by a -RUN.

I hope this helps.

I still look for the retail sample sources, loading that data...

Depending upon your release, WF_RETAIL and other tutorials are not loaded using CM (or change management) but rather using a menu option within the reporting server console. For instance, in 8.2.04 the tutorials are loaded from the application tab from the "new" ribbon menu option. Other releases will be different.

As for the CAR file, the LOADCAR.fex only issues a "CREATE FILE CAR" without specifying where it should be created.

So, instead, use DBLCAR.FEX (same IBISAMP directory), BUT edit it befor you run it and change the value for location as below -
-DEFAULT &LOCATION='ibisamp/'

This should create the focus file within the IBISAMP directory. However, make sure the CAR.MAS is about first using WHENCE CAR MASTER (per Doug above).
