I am trying to create a report launcher fex. I would like for it to accept two parameters from an html page. Based on one of the parameters, I would like to execute a fex while passing the other parameter to that fex. It seems like I might have a path problem, as I get...

Error occurred.
ERROR: ERROR_MR_FEX_NOT_FOUND Can't create item object based on provided item key tba.fex.

Here is the code. Simple so far.

-SET ALL=ON, NODATA=''
-DEFAULT &TERM = '200920';

-IF &TERM EQ '' GOTO NORPT;

IF &REPORT EQ 'TBA' GOTO TBA;

-TBA
-INCLUDE tba

-GOTO EXIT;

-NORPT
-EX NoRpt.fex

-EXIT

You can do a couple of things. The easiest is to specify the location of the included fex thusly:
-INCLUDE dirname/tba

Another thing to try is to put an APP PREPENDPATH dirname followed by a -RUN at the beginning of the focexec.

You could put the directory of the fex in edasprof.prf as well but that may be overkill for what you want to do.

The give away here is the MR within your error message. This tells me that you are executing this from within MRE or the BID.

Question, are your target and base fex within the same domain? If so then just prepend your fex call to become app/tba.fex.

If your fex is in an app folder (as per Ginny above) then you might require -MRNOEDIT in addition to what Ginny suggests.

Finally, your second IF statement is dialogue manager and should be prefixed with a dash -

-IF &REPORT EQ 'TBA' GOTO TBA;
