I created a report in MRE using the Report Assistant, saved it and closed RA. When you double click on the report name, it launches RA.

Now if you edit the report manually, right-click --> Edit, let's say you add a new field, save it and close the editor. When you double click on the report name, it defaults to the editor instead of the RA.

Is there a way to change the launch app back to RA?

Thanks.

Seems to me I fixed that once by when in edit changing the comment line at the top to the verbiage of RA. Of course I don't remember just what it was, open up an RA fex and don't save it to see what it puts in there.

In addition to what Leah has given, ensure that you have "Edit in Dev Studio tool" checked in windows\options within Dev Studio.

When you go into the editor after using RA, the text at the beginning of the focexec is changed.

Re-open the fex in the editor and replace the first two lines with this:

-* HTML Tool
-* Created by Report Assistant

Save the program. Then you should be able to re-open in RA.

Thanks, I located the file and made sure the first line read -* created by report assistant.
