Can anybody recommend me a good books on focus? I am totally new to focus..

Are you using the focus for mainframes? In that case the user manuals from Information builders will be very useful.

2 manuals which found very useful were,

1. Data description and reporting users manual(vol 1)
2.DAta management and tools user manual (vol 2)

thanks for the quick response vidya. unfortunately, i am unable to login into the IB's documentation library. It wants me to create an account with site code or serial #, which i don't have. I just want to read tutorial and gain some knowledge..is there any other source i can get help from..

If your company subscribes to maintanence, you then have access to all of our tech support and documentation resources. However, for those who do not have a subscription, we do offer a Focal Point Technical Documentation Library. It does not offer the full library but you will definitely be able to find some help there.
