I'm getting the error 'Reporting Server messages exceeded IBIF_max_messages, report retrieval aborted' quite often. I've set the lines parameter in General, under Configuration, to zero, but the error still shows up frequently. I'm attempting to retrieve 1000 records from one table and loading them to another. I have no problem producing the HOLD file, but the error shows up during the MODIFY step. I don't think this is really a problem of to many system lines being produced. Am I missing something?

It was happening for me because of the Tomcat server. After I changed the Tomcat memory, it worked fine.

Ron, what version of webfocus you are working?
Please put that in your signature.

I have seen that same message when we inadvertantly had an endless loop with dialogue manager. Fixing the loop issue resolved that message.
