Does anybody know if webfocus can issue a command to run JDE job on iSeries? Or use iSM to issue a command to run JDE job on iSeries? Both of our webfocus server and iSM are installed on window platform. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

I'm doing the following to run an iSeries command to see if a file has been updated since my program last ran. IWAY762 is my reporting server running on the iSeries. This code is in the middle of my fex.
You can use the DB2 SQL interface to call iSeries programs and stored procedures:
ENGINE DB2 SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION iSeriesConnection
SQL DB2
CALL LIBRARY.PGM(&PARMS)
END
You can pass parms if you need. You can have the program do a SBMJOB if needed or call the program directly. You can also call iSeries stored procedures with this method (iSeries stored procedures can also be defined as synonyms in WF - we return result sets this way for many of our RPG business processes).
