Hi all,

I am reading dynamically from a flat file which has LRECL of 134, when I am using -READ FIL1 &PREV1 &PREV2 &PREV3 then to continue to read in the same order I need the continuation charactor which I am really not aware of.

Please advice.

Thanks

Try ...

-READ FIL1 &PREV.Axx. &PREV2.Ayy.,
- ,&PREV3.Azz.

Should do the trick.

You could also -READ the entire line, then split it with SUBSTR or EDIT.

Forgot to say that the end comma on line one and the start comma on line two (after the - ) are important.
