After upgrading to 7.1.5 Reporting Server, the bottom 3rd of my screen now displays a window:

0 NUMBER OF RECORDS IN TABLE= 18 LINES= 18WebFOCUS Version 7.1.4 compiled and linked on Fri May 19 16:45:40 EDT 2006 (Gen branchYYY:XXX)

just like Data Migrainor, I mean, Data Migrator.

Has anyone found a way to turn this off???

-SET &ECHO=OFF; doesn't work...

Tom

SET MSG=OFF

will remove the "Number of records" message. It probably will not remove the WF version message.

Francis,

THANKS!!

BUT (always a BUT),

now I get

Report has been deleted from the server.
You must run the report again if you want this report.

With a CLOSE button.

Anyway to REMOVE the window altogether???

If I wanted to DEBUG, I'd set my ECHO=ALL or,

-SET &ECHO=ALL;

SET TRACEON = STMTRACE/1/CLIENT
SET TRACEON = STMTRACE/2/CLIENT
-*SET TRACEON = SQLCALL//CLIENT
-*SET TRACEON = SQLREAD//CLIENT
SET TRACEUSER = ON
-*SET TRACEON = ?
-RUN

Tom

Tom,

It sounds like the setting in WebFOCUS which sets the expiration time for your reports is set to immediate or very short. This is what usually causes the "Report has been deleted" message if I remmeber correctly.

Another thought is to check the WF CLIENT version. I'm pretty sure I read on the IBI tech support page that you need to use WF Client 7.1.4 with the WF Server 7.1.5. Have you upgraded your CLIENT piece?

Quoted from IBI Tech Support for 7.1.5 WF Server:

"Installation/Configuration Instructions:
This version of the Reporting Server should be used with the 7.1.4 version of the WebFOCUS Web Components (Client) and WebFOCUS Developer Studio. . . ."

Thanks!

Mickey

I just discovered this totally by accident,
but if go to the Text Editor and in the Tool bar next to the Run arrow..there's a little dropdown arrow. Click that. When I checked Display Command lines, I got the message you mentioned above. Everything seems fine if you just check Message Viewer Off. Seems there are all kind of hidden little things in this new release.
