I want to create a .fex from data within Report Caster jobs. Where are the files located on the server and the names?
For example I would like to create a datamart that would query a specific Schedule ID to get the Job Description and the details behind that scheduled job (specific Task Scheduled, time scheduled,...).

Todd, I think you meant RC tables. First, what kind of data base is used for your RC repository? Once you know that, you can use the WF console or Developer Studio to create the master file descriptions from the appropriate adapter. Then you can write reports against the tables to your heart's content.

I haven't got any idea as to why you would want to do such a thing, but if you want to do so, go ahead. You can find the master files in the server's catalog directory. They all start with BOT. That is, they will be there up to release 7.7. As of 77 and higher you won't find the masters any more, so your idea of datamarting the RC tables will end with that release anyway.

GamP or anyone. Why would those masters for the RC data files be going away?

You may not "find the masters" but what will stop you from generating metadata for the tables?

OK...I think I found them. I'm good to go. I can now make some reporting on this data.

This is because a new database is being used as default. However, configuring a JDBC adapter will still allow you to get to the repository and create the synonyms and therefore allow you to continue your quest.
