I would like to add page numbering at the bottom of my PDF documents, but when I do add page numbers, a blank line appears between the title line and the body of the report. Has anyone else encountered this issue and how is it resolved?

I am providing a simple car file example that shows this issue.

TABLE FILE CAR
BY  CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY
BY  CAR.COMP.CAR
BY  CAR.CARREC.MODEL
FOOTING
"<TABPAGENO of <TABLASTPAGE"
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET ASNAMES ON
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
     INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/endeflt.sty,
$
ENDSTYLE
END

Nope.

Need to add [ code ] (without spaces) at the beginning of your code then [/ code ] (no space) after your code or use the last option button (right one) :
 </>
. It will create the two tags (start/end) then place your code in between.

Once done you will see that your code is not displayed in the same font and alignment as other text in the post.

I created a car file fex (see revised first post) that shows this. You can comment/uncomment the two lines involving the footing to see the issue.

For PDF, need extra SET commands.
These should work:
SET PRINTPLUS=ON, TITLELINE=SKIP

Not related to the FOOTING.
It's related to the styling of the PDF itself.
It may look strange to add such stuff to answer your need, but it works !
Look at the "TYPE=REPORT" row
By adding a border, then PDF render is ok as you need.

TABLE FILE CAR
BY  CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY
BY  CAR.COMP.CAR
BY  CAR.CARREC.MODEL
FOOTING
"<TABPAGENO of <TABLASTPAGE"
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET ASNAMES ON
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
     INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/endeflt.sty,
TYPE=REPORT, BORDER-TOP=LIGHT, BORDER-COLOR=WHITE, $
ENDSTYLE
END

Tom solution also work. Was the SETting that I look for but wasn't able to find them.
