We are upgrading from 8.1.05M to 8.2.04 in the very near future and are trying to be proactive and ask questions before we take the plunge. There is a question we have not found an answer to yet. Is there a way to check templates/formatting on reports/charts en masse rather than having to check each one individually? Maybe someone has done this and can provide tips on how to save time in our validation process.

Check with your local IBI contact.

In the past (when migrating from WF7 to WF8) IBI was providing an option (with some $) where you can have all your fex verified by a script they have that then create a report on possible migration issues.
Don't know if this is still available to go from WF81 to WF82 but it cost nothing to ask.

I have already checked and found out such a tool does not exist. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

They definitely do provide that service. I have the 8.1.05M to 8.2.03 Excel spreadsheet up on my computer right now. You send them a Change Management file of your 8.1.05M environment and they supply a very comprehensive evaluation of what you will have to update.

I am pretty sure our Amtex Systems consultant got it from IBI Professional Services. It probably won't be free, but it will save you untold time and frustration.
