Hello,

Recently, I met a wired thing that there is nothing (even error) show under Managed Reporting in Developer Studio.

We are using WebFOCUS Dev Studio 7.7.03 on Windows XP 32bit.

1) On my colleague's PC and log-in MRE in Dev Studio using my user ID, I can see all the domains under "Managed Reporting";

2) On my PC, I can log-in MRE in web "Managed Reporting (Applet) Interface" using my user ID, and I can see all the domains.

3) On my PC's Dev Studio, I cannot see any domains under Managed Reporting. It was working before.

4) I have tried to re-install WebFOCUS Dev Studio, still cannot see any domains.

Thanks,

William

William,

Have you stored a userid and password before now and recently changed your password?

If the answer is yes then right click the environment, click the MRE icon and change the values of userid and password as necessary.

If this is not the answer then ask yourself "what has changed recently?".

Hi Tony,

No any changes on my password.

I can log-in using the same user id and password to web MRE or on another PC (Dev Studio).

As far as I can remember, there was no any change to Developer Studio on my PC.

But, I would like to know what other Windows components may affect Dev Studio?

Thanks,
W

Sorry William, without a bit of research I couldn't say. Have you thought about raising a case?

It sounds like you are not connecting to the server. Check your IP address.

Hello,

We have resolved the issue by deleting (remove) the Windows login user profile folder (which is at "C:\Documents and Settings\username" on Windows XP computer) by Windows NT administrator.

Then login with the same Windows user name, and the issue is fixed.

It seems there were "hidden" files which are used by WebFOCUS / Windows components in that folder caused WebFOCUS's de-functioning.

Cheers,
William Zhu
